How old DO I HAVE TO BE TO ENTER THE #AWAMORITIME CONTEST?
You have to be 21 years of age or older.
CAN I DRINK IN MY #AWAMORITIME CONTEST REEL?
No. #Awamoritime is all about expressing your creativity as best you can. Because of legal limitations and terms of use of the various platforms leveraged in the competition you should not feature drinking alcohol of any kind.
WHERE CAN I BUY AWAMORI?
We are working to make Awamori available at more locations throughout the USA.
HOW DOes one GET TO OKINAWA?
We encourage you to learn more about travel to Okinawa, Awamori, and more through the links of our project partners.
HOW DO YOU MAKE AN INSTAGRAM REEL?
On the official @itsawamoritime Instagram select our Reels page. Click our First Reel with cover “Create a Reel”. Click “itsawamoritime original audio”. Click Save Audio. Go to YOUR reels creation page. Select 30-second reel length. Click the Music/Audio symbol. Click/go to SAVED audio. Select the itsawamoritime Original Audio. Create a Reel “in the moment” or use an existing video from your library in the bottom left corner. Make sure you use up all 18 seconds of the original audio. Post with a description including #awamoritime
DO I HAVE TO BUY ANYTHING?
No. Awamoritime.com and #awamoritime contest do not sell or rent any product or service. The only qualifying requirements are to be 21 or older and have an imagination.
Who/what is awamoritime.com?
Awamoritime.com is a tourism and cultural promotion initiative sponsored by the Japanese and Okinawa Prefecture governments.
WhAT DOES AWAMORI TASTE LIKE?
Kusu (古酒, "old liquor") Awamoris aged in clay pots for 20 years or more prior to bottling have a sweet vanilla-like aroma and an unparalleled smoothness of taste considering their high alcohol content.
